Does anyone know about a career from home where you book vacations for groups of people?

In passing I heard a gentleman talking about his wife, who works from home booking trips for large groups. She is not a licensed travel agent, works very hard at it, and makes decent money. Does anyone know where I can find out more info on this? Thanks!
