What kind of jobs can you get with boating experience?

My friend has over 3 years experience with sailing. He started as a deckhand and has sailed on his own over long distances on a 37 foot long sailboat.
What kinds of jobs can he get with this kind of experience and skill set?
I’m thinking places like marinas, harbors, etc. would have some sort of use for him?
I’ve seen some listings for jobs but alot of them demand that he go to sea for extended periods of time. Are there any jobs that allow you to work on a boat but come back home at the end of the day?

Yeah, we all wish we had jobs like that. That is not where the big money is though. If he can document 360 days aboard boats, (not consecutive) he can qualify for a OUPV, Operator of Uninspected Passanger Vessel. He can take out not more than 6 passengers for hire.
