Some tax questions for everyone, inspired by Hannity…?
I was listening to Hannity on the way home from work last night. the segment that I heard, a caller had Hannity all befuddled on the issue of taxes. Here is how it went:
Hannity stated that people earning close to $250K were forgoing earning more money to avoid entering a higher tax bracket. The caller pointed out that they would only be paying 5% more, and who in their right mind would turn down $25,000 extra dollars because it isn’t $27,500?
Here are my questions
1. What is your party affiliation
2. Consider this example. 100 people earn amounts in increments from $1 to $100. Each of the people is taxed at the same rate. Half of the tax revenue is paid by 1/4 of the population. Is that fair?
3. If you think #2 is not fair, what would you suggest instead?
4. Should people pay any taxes?
5. The government builds our infrastructure: roads, bridges, power and phone lines… Is that socialism?

First of all, Hannity is a moron. Have you noticed that Hannity hasn’t discussed reducing his own personal income to below $250k to avoid additional taxation?
1) Republican
2) No tax rates are fair. Either they impact the lower and middle classes more or they impact the upper class more.
3) There is no good solution. And people in the middle and lower class taking tax advice from people in the upper class is sheer lunacy.
4) The constitution was originally written that the federal govt. should be financed through tariffs. I see no issue with that, coupled with a high sales tax and no income taxes.
5) No it isn’t socialism. You don’t want the “lowest bidder” corporation completely in charge of building our infastructure without any govt oversight or rules.
