Work At Home For Google.com

Beating the X-Stop? The X-stop is a program at my school that blocks certain website including Youtube…?
other not so educational sites. Now I don’t want to do anything wrong I just want to beat it. They blocked the image page for Google.com so we now. We use to use proxy sites but then our network merged into the county network which blocks all proxy sites that I have ever tried. (And trust me that is alot.) So now here somes my suggestion. Remote Access. I’m not sure if this will work. I have never tried it before and don’t know much about it. I configured my username and password on my home computer. Do you have any other suggestions? Any tips for remote access? I assume that I have to turn off my firewall. Almost forgot. My home PC is running Vista but the school system runs XP. Could I encounter problems there?
1) Right click on My Computer, Left click on Properties
2) Left click on Remote Settings
3) Enable “Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop”
4) Click “Select Users” and choose which users have Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) access
5) Click on the hyperlink at the top with the yello exclamation point to set your Windows Firewall to allow access.
6) Access the Admin Page of your home Router and configure a rule to forward all traffic on port 3389 to your home PCs IP address. Each router is different. Their website should show you how. This is called “port forwarding” It will look something like this:
* -> 3389 -> 192.168.1.101 TCP/UDP Anytime
To a router, this would mean, any external IP on port 3389 gets forwarded to the computer at 192.168.1.101 for both UDP and TCP traffic, anytime.
Your router may look different, but this is the basic info.
You will also need to change 192.168.1.101 to whatever your actual computer’s IP address is. — .1.101 happens to be common.
7) To initiate a connection Find “Remote Desktop Connection” if the administrator is silly enough to NOT remove it. — It should be under Start | Programs | Accessories | Communication
You can also try finding it by clicking on Start | Run | and typing in “mstsc.exe”
(the administrator REALLY should hide or remove this)
type in the WAN IP of your home PC.
9) Go to www.dyndns.org from home and sign up your home PC for dynamic IP updates.. then select a free domain to use to locate your PC.
10) Install an update program to update DynDNS everytime your IP changes
11) THEN you can type in your dnydns address instead of your WAN IP
