Why do people feel the need to make their workplace their second home? I wish I felt at home at work. So?

many people bring in things from home and decorate their desks with all sorts. I’m sitting at someone’s desk (I’m a temp) and I can see 4 pictures of cats, a ‘special mum’ ornament, photos of the entire family and other fluffy toys. I just can’t bring myself to feel at home at work at all. My desk would be so boring and plain as anything. Does anyone else feel like this, or do you in fact like a little taste of home at work?

I like my job Poopsy…but I really wouldn’t want to have all my personal stuff lying around for all to see…x
