Make Money Writing

How does one make money writing short stories?

And is it an easier route (if writing fiction for profit) than writing novels?

You have to sell to magazines and anthologies. Easier? Maybe. The big thing is that you have to sell more works than if you’re selling novels, as they bring in less money – but they take less time to write, as well.

The best thing to do is to look for a website that lays out resources for your particular genre. These sites usually list places that take first-print unsolicited work, as well as good agents for beginners and suggestions on how to get started.
