Make Money Listening To Music

How does a person submit music?

I found a recording on a CD that my son made/recorded, and I’d like for someone to listen to it to see if it’s good enough to make any money. Who would I have listen to it? How do I protect the recording from someone stealing the song/idea?

I’m not saying it would be a huge hit, but it’s just as good as any other rap song that’s out there today. I thought maybe it might make him a little bit of money.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

First you have to copy write both the lyrics and the music of his song with the US government. you can go to www.copyright.gov to get all the necessary paperwork.
Then once you do that you can make multiple copies and send them to different labels and put up a copy of it on websites like myspace, imeem and youtube.
Once it’s out there make sure you put ot an email (that your comfortable letting people know. You might want to create one like “yoursonsname”music@gmail.com). Let people know where to contact you. Your son can even do shows (if he wants to perform) or he can sell the song to an artist (make sure he keeps all copyright claims).

Hope this helps! Good luck!
