Are people really making money with Google Adsense?

I have recently read some incredible claims of people making $300K/mo., $250K/mo., and $200K/mo., using nothing more than Google Adsense. On paper it seems probable, but is it true? Or, is this a marketing scheme by Google to get more companies/people to advertise through their web services? Does anyone have the answer?

Making money with Google Adsense is true but earning $200K/mo seems to me like a scam. I think earning $10K+ is something possible and those are the one very successful. In average a full time blogger, can earn up to $1K – $5K. A part time blogger like me, it probably just very little. Not even enough to pay my bills.
