Why Choose the Internet to Make Money, Isn’t it All Just a Scam?

The increasing popularity of people turing to the internet for ways to make money has exploded in the past 10 years or so and with the recession that the United States is going through at the time of this article, it seems that making money online has been brought to a whole new level. But why choose the internet home business arena over a typical brick and mortar business as a source of income.

WIthout question, internet business are an easier path to make money that owning and operating a store front. Obviously the expense of running a home business is next to nothing compared to a traditional business with rent, inventory, employees ect. to pay for and the high start up costs leave most searching for avenues to leverage the money needed to get going.

Home businesses require an initial investment of usually between $200 to 5 grand as opposed to $100,000 or more for a brick and mortar business. The initial money required for an internet business may be one of the major contributing factors to failure in this industry. Although $5,000 would be nothing to sneeze at, it seems to foster a lack of commitment being as the financial obligation is not tremendous as opposed to someone who invested a $100,000. Many drop out in the first few weeks if they aren’t making the money they envisioned.

To make money online or in any business, you need to have a significant desire and commitment. If you can’t o at least three months of putting in time and effort to your business I would recommend a part time job otherwise your money will be wasted. If it took 3 months to get your business going to what could be a 6 figure income, would it be worth your time? silly question right?

Putting up a website and having some products to sell will not make money for you with out first learning a bit about what it is you are doing and putting and actually putting into place the tools and techniques you will learn. It doesn’t take money to make money, but it does take some time effort and education.

Nobody starts at the top and starts making money from day one. But when it works, when the tools, system and your effort all work together,  the internet is an incredible source of income.

Online scams that promise to make you money day in and day out with no work are out there. But, there are many truly good money making businesses on the internet today and hopefully you can avoid the scams. Find something you like and trust and go for it, you’ll be happy you did.
