Can you Really Make Money With Ads on your Website?

Can I really make a ton of money just by publishing a website and adding advertisments on it? Many people think that you can’t. Well I will tell you this, the money you want to make is up to the effort you are willing to put in. Don’t you wonder why almost every website you go to has links to other websites on it? They make money by you clicking on them.

I started a website http://www.networkingandadvice.com a few months ago so I could build a group of people to chat with about our careers and we would be able to help each other with whatever we needed. I placed a few ads from Google on my forums section just to see what if I would make any money. Right now there are only about five people chatting back and forth about there careers and they have clicked on some of the links, just from these five people I have made about 7$. I know 7$ a whole lot of money right. but you have to think in perspective. If I am making 7$ from five people right now, how much money would I be making if there where a couple hundered people looking at this website.

Its hard to get people to navigate to your website, further more its hard to get people to keep coming back. Many of these Ads will pay you more if you have more visitors to your website. So the key is to think up a site that you think people we visit and spend the time to get people to go there and look. I wanted to make a site for career advice and networking because thats what I would like to help people with. I wont make much money from this site but hey its not always about the money.
