Is cleaning houses a good way to make money while in college?

So i got the idea to clean houses from an acquaintance. I currently have been working 2 crappy minimum wage jobs and going to school. I quit all three because of a lot of stress and have off from now until January. I plan on cleaning houses for my new job. How much money should I expect to make? How should I advertise? What supplies do I need? I am a hard worker and expect to do well with it thanks in advance!!

I think that’s a great way to make money. You should also try going office to office and offering your buisness. Let them know your a college student trying to earn some money and these are your services. Here at the office we pay the cleaning lady $70 everytime she comes which is once a week or once every two weeks and it only takes her about 2hrs. You can charge depending on how big the job is or by hour. You can advertise on the net or make your own buisness cards at home. Idk….what area you live in but check if there are any news parper you can advertise for a small fee or free. Cleaning supplies you’ll need all types kitchen, bathroom, window etc..
