Brown sacking people, why don’t employment laws apply to them, they made the bl..dy laws?
If I want to sack a good for nothing lazy little idiot who doesn’t earn his money, I have to write them letters of warning, have to put every word I say to them in writing afterwards to cover myself, and then consult a solicitor before firing them to try and avoid a case against me at the tribunal. Even so there is always a case brought.
But the government who passed these laws can just fire someone instantly, just because they said something Mr brown didn’t like. How come? Does anyone know the legal reason why they can do this but I can’t?
There are cases where employers were accused of using demotion as a way for forcing an employee out of their job or making their situation untenable.
He’s only sacked them from their positions within his administration. They have not become suddenly unemployed and retain their seats as Members of Parliament and continue to receive the rather generous salary associated with that position. It’s more of a demotion than a sacking really.
