What is the “the secret to the 1p ebook auction” on ebay?

I find some sellers have tons of feedback, and it is usually from ebook sellers. There are also a lot of 1 penny ebooks on ebay, how do they make money off that? I assume its just a scheme to get feedback and make some money. Do they just make money off those auctions (which have free shipping, btw) by hoping that someone will come along one day and bid really high for the book? or is it just to get a lot of feedback?

It’s just for feedback. The buyers and sellers both are essentially purchasing the positive feedback.
