Article Marketing – How Do I Make Money Writing Articles?

There are two schools of thought on how to make money writing articles.

The first of these schools of thought would have you joining one or more of the many freelance writing sites spread across the internet and then bidding on the writing jobs that are posted there. One of the things that you should know before you jump into this line of thinking is that many of the freelance sites charge you a monthly fee for the privilege of bidding on the jobs posted on their sites. Another thing that you should know is that most also take a chunk out of the fee that you are paid for your work. I am not saying that this process is wrong, only that you need to know what is going on up front.

Using the second school of thought you would write articles and actually give them away for free. Yes I said give them away for free. Wait, before you think me an idiot let me explain. Writing articles and giving them away can be a very lucrative business if you follow a simple formula.

1.) Create two products or join an affiliate program. The first will be used as a give away in exchange for the name and e-mail address of a visitor. The second you will use to up sell to your visitors.

2.) Set up a website which you will use to promote the product you wish to sell.

3.) Either purchase an autoresponder script or use an autoresponder service to capture your visitor’s name and e-mail address.

4.) Write articles to give away that have a link back to your website.

5.) Gather information in exchange for your give away product.

6.) The gathered information is now your “list” to which you will begin to market.

The steps above are not, nor are they intended to be a complete course in article marketing; rather they are just a basic list of how you can earn money through Article Marketing.

The first of the schools of thought would have you actually pay to write articles. The second will allow you to write articles while building a profitable business on the internet. Profits will not come over night though. You must be diligent and write articles every day.
