Is It really possible to earn money taking online surveys, or b.s.., or worse?

I have actually been going though the process of creating my own survey site, so I had to learn a lot about the industry. I have learned that there are lots of legitimate companies out there. Companies spend millions on market research each year.

However, don’t expect to get rich or to replace a full-time income by taking surveys. You would have to join many sites and invest a lot of time to be able to earn big checks. The people making the most from surveys are people who are panel owners, high traffic website owners, and large mailing list owners.

My best advice is to find sites that are reputable and offer additional incentives in addition to cash. If you take a few surveys on a daily basis, you may not get rich, but you will find yourself with a nice bit of extra spending money, gift cards, sweepstakes entries, and other incentives.

You just want to avoid the ones that ask you to pay for the membership. The same surveys are available on the free to join sites also.
