What is the best method of earning more money from Adsense sites?

What is the best method of earning more money from Google Adsense sites? I have a big true ghost stories site, but despite getting around 1000 new visitors per month, the most I am making is around $130.00 per month. So should I put up more sites with better paying keywords? And how many sites is best – 5, 10, 20, or more? Come on, all you Adsense experts, I need your advice. I want to be able to have my own chain of Adsens sites so that I can work for myself, if that is really possible (anybody actually doing that with their own Adsense chain of sites?)

Haveing just one blog and be just as succesfull, as having many blogs! there is no definitive answer, it all depends on content and traffic!!
