How I can cover for a free online magazine (pay for the site, taxpayers) without using GoogleAdsense?

I want to start an online magazine that aims to educate youth and serving as a platform for serious debate intelligently in society and government. My objective is not make money, but I want to cover expenses, pay for taxpayers and make some profit. I want my own site with a simple URL, and I do not want a lot of ads click, and do not want to use Google Adsense. There is no real trend for online shopping. I would appreciate your ideas and tips!

We make sure to diversify our sources of ad: – sell our own ads – Adsense – banner advertising – affiliate programs AdSense has been a great boost for us, and accounts for a significant percentage of our income. However, if you do not want to use Adsense or other advertising, your only option is to sell lots of paid subscription in some of its contents are available premium subscribers only. But if you want a web magazine completely free and accessible, advertising is a way to go (just like print magazines that do not survive for the amount but to share through advertising). Adsense and now is the best advertising program currently on the market.
