Get Paid to Blog – Can a Personal Blog Earn You Decent Money?
Are you looking for a way to make some extra money online from home? Maybe you’ve heard you can get paid to blog so you have been looking into it a bit. I imagine you are probably thinking it sounds too good to be true though. Isn’t that usually the case?
Well in this particular case the good news is the answer is a resounding “yes,” you can earn a nice income blogging. You can even make it a full-time job if you want to, although it will take some time to reach that point.
But in the interim, while you are waiting for it to turn into something you can do full-time, why not just spend an hour a day blogging and earn a part-time paycheck. Every little bit helps.
Just think, you could pick a subject near and dear to your heart, something you are really passionate about, and just babble about it day after day. As long as you have chosen something others have an interest in too, you will eventually see some income rolling in.
So just what needs to be done in order to get paid to blog? Well, obviously you need to have a blog and update it on a regular basis. My recommendation is to not use freebie blogs but instead host the blog on your own domain.
What? Sounds too technical? Don’t worry, it is amazingly easy. I know a lot of people say that about things that are really complicated but in this case it’s really true. And should you have a bit of a problem there are lots of tutorials to help you out. You’ll have your blog up and running in no time flat.
So then what? You’ve decided on a subject, bought your domain name, picked out a nice theme, and are ready to get rolling. I can see you are a little stumped here, and maybe scratching your head wondering just how you can make money writing on a blog. Well, you’ve got a few choices.
If your blog is about, for example, fishing, you can become an affiliate for fishing products and place ads here and there. Don’t go crazy or people will hit the back button as soon as they land on your site, but just place a few banner ads. It’s simple to do, don’t worry. But the best kind of ad is actually a text ad where you just hyperlink your text to an affiliate product. If someone clicks link and makes a purchase you earn a commission.
You could also put up some Adsense if you would rather just earn money when people click on things. That way no one ever has to buy anything. But either way it works and if you put in some effort on a daily basis you will be able to earn a nice income with your blog.
